From the moment I met Claire she supported me to build confidence in who I was and how I did things.
Claire was the epitome of feminism - fierce, fun, passionate and always raising others as she climbed.
What happened to Claire should never have been the case, but as ever she made it about fixing the problem and telling truth to power.
If I do no more than continue to let her light shine and carry on the work she committed to I think she’d let me pause with a Prosecco and a a crisp buffet at the end of a week.
To all whom the system calls ‘bloody difficult women’ we won’t go quietly.

• THE ONE WHERE SHE GETS ELECTED •
A decade ago I stood for election with the Women’s Equality Party, a space for women who felt politically homeless but wanted to fight for politics that championed equality, fairness and tackling poverty.
@sanditoksvig.1958 and @mayeroflondon worked so hard and held us up as we pushed for feminist governments.
I found my political home with @plaidcymruwales who gave an equal platform to every member to take part in shaping the vision for a more hopeful Cymru, a vision that truly tackles poverty and inequality.
I cut my cloth campaigning for @pregnant_then_screwed alongside @joelibrearley and many other brilliant women, and today I’m heading to the Senedd to take the oath so that we can get to work on our transformational childcare offer.
Thank you to ALL the wonderful people in my tribe who helped make this happen and to our entire @plaid.pbm team for their dedication, hard work and sacrifice in belief of our mission for Cymru.
It’s time to serve all of Cymru and heal our divisions.

We fought for our communities, our culture, our democracy and today it’s time for @plaidcymruwales to do the work we promised our nation.

The work this woman has put in, day and night to this election campaign, is mind-boggling. But her fight for what’s right and for a fairer Wales didn’t start there. Ever since the day I met her, she has put everything on the line to advocate for those with a raw deal, those who are marginalised, those who are ignored. I’ve watched her create awareness and change around carers rights, Gaza, parental rights, abortion rights, gender equality and many many other important causes.
She did it all because she knows that a better world is possible, and I know she will be a compassionate and unrelenting voice for the Vale & Bridgend. We are SO lucky to have her.
