The Sahara is a land of legends, tribes, camels, Aeropostale, Saint-Exupéry and his Little Prince, Lawrence of Arabia and his Brough Superior. It’s also here that the idea imagined by Thierry Sabine was born, after getting lost on the Abidjan-Nice rally in 1977. Alone for three days, he had time to think. Once rescued, he dreamt up the toughest race ever organized: the Paris-Dakar. A true adventure, with no factory teams at the time, covered only by a handful of bold journalists, who sometimes signed up themselves, to tell it better. 🔊Sound on! ⚠️Wait... 👀 Look and listen. Is this heaven on earth? ♥️ 👉 That’s what it’s like to wake up one morning at the SandRaiders bivouac in Talsint. Stepping out of the tent, passing by the fire 🔥 where dozens of stories and anecdotes were shared the night before, seeing people smiling 😃 as they eat breakfast in the dining tent, and heading straight to the bikes: all waiting for the adventure 👏👏👏 ✨✨ The most magical moment is heading to the mechanics’ tent, where they’re finishing up repairs on the last few bikes before the start of Stage 3. And right next to it, the tent where the riders themselves want to fix their bikes with their own hands 🔧 ♥️ That music, those conversations, that sound, that smell of bikes, of passion... we wanted to bring that feeling to you. 👏 WHAT A MOMENT 🔥 Look at what happened 👇👇 🔥 SandRaiders moments! During Stage 3, in the area of high, soft dunes in Merzouga. It’s a great example of what you can experience on SandRaiders ✨ 👉👉 This trip is designed for riders of all skill levels—from amateurs who have never ridden a motorcycle on dunes to those with much more experience. Here, two riders of different skill levels come together. The more experienced rider has a problem with his bike, but instead of focusing on fixing it, he decides to help the less experienced rider lift the bike, get it out of the sand, give him instructions on how to climb the dunes, and—best of all—assures him that he’ll ride alongside him so he can learn 🔝🔝🔝🔝 ♥️ What a beautiful moment! ♥️ At SandRaiders, we’re reviving the spirit of adventure and camaraderie from the African raids of the 1980s.
