❤️Last night was a truly beautiful evening as we came together to honor our remarkable leaders, Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard and First Lady Karen Clark Sheard. Their servant hearts, steadfast faith, and powerful example continue to inspire me and set the standard for us all. I’m so grateful for their leadership and love them dearly.

I understand the true meaning of loyalty because of you. I’ve never seen you switch up on the people you love—when you’re for someone, you’re truly for them. You’re honest, you look out for others, and you give even when you don’t have it to give. I learned that from you.
I am a nurturer because of you. As far back as I can remember, our home was always full—there were always kids around—and you carried it all with such ease, as if it was just one. I watched you love, serve, and care for people who may have not even deserved your time with such grace. You didn’t just take care of us, your children—you took care of your nieces, nephews, grown adults, and their children too. You just cared, deeply and consistently.
I also understand now that you carried so much as a child, and because of that, you wanted something different for all of us. You made sure we never lacked anything. Because of you, I can walk into any room, any space, at any time and be just fine. That strength—that’s because of how you raised me.
I used to think you were hard on me, but now at 26—with two degrees, a career, traveling, active in church, NO KIDS, and building my life—I understand. You were shaping me. You were preparing me. And I’m so grateful.
I am blessed. I adore you. I am who I am because of you.
