Lake Geneva called, Felix answered. 😎 I had the BEST time capturing Felix (and his entire family) in Lake Geneva last week. These are the moments that I love most during an extended family sessions… the kids who bring all the personality & those in-between moments (like checking for pockets) you didn’t even realize you’d want to remember. 🥹 If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, let’s make it happen while the summer light is this good.

There are people in life that are just born different. People in life that are destined to be stars that change people lives both professionally and more importantly personally. They are magnanimous stars that fill the darkness with their positivity, optimism and genuine love for nurturing people. Infectious euphoric people that enabling others to grow into their best selves. They are curious, adventurous and courageous because they are models of what is good. They are the authentic ones. They understand themselves, they understand their weaknesses and their strengths, mentoring others from the lessons they have learned. They embody consistency, and leadership through example, not by fear but joy, hard work, discipline, and caring. Lawrence Murphy will be remembered as that guy… The dude… The Chief… but we all know him just as Murf. He passed on June 16th, 2025. He will be remembered as a: devoted father loving husband fierce friend empathetic designer passionate educator wise strategist philosophical motivator master illustrator sincere mentor joyful creative corporate therapist trustworthy confidant selfless leader reliable teammate comedic icebreaker impeccable locutionist optimistic futurist He was all these yet, he was never arrogant. He was confident in his abilities but would always root for others to succeed. He was happiest teaching others and loved the act of creating something tangible, narratives, or experiences. For me, he was more then just a mentor. He was as close as a person could be other than my father. Murf will always be a person that I look to for answers and inspiration. I wish everyone could known Murf in life, those that have, know what I’m talking about. “It’s like explaining fireworks… some things you can’t, you just have to be there.” - Murf
