The last piece from my Rituals paintings. I lifted the colors directly from Francis Bacon, an artist whose influence can be felt throughout the series. Still on view at Gallery 333, DM for a showing. Acrylic and oil pastel on paper, 24”x30”.
Angel of Mercy
This is one of three new pieces I made this summer for a show that @nvanderloop and I put together. I challenged myself by working in a new medium but looked to some of the masters to guide me. Acrylic and oil pastel on paper, 30”x40”. It’s still up at Gallery 333 in St Paul at time of posting, DM to schedule a showing.

Mandatory Fun, a short play that I made for @runningerrandsmn , starring myself and @owen.radke But if I’m honest, the overhead projector really stole the show. To make the projections, I used a combination of digital printing and paint on transparent mylar sheets. I’m always thinking about how I can translate my drawings to the stage; this technique seems promising! If you’re really curious, you can DM me for a vimeo link.
