my new EP "genuis" is out today
This is the first solo project I've put out since 2019 and as you could imagine there's been so many changes in my life that led up to this small handful of songs. I've lost a lot and gained a lot too, and that balance is generally the theme of the album. When people leave the only way to get through is to try and see ways to learn and grow..Through the process of working on these songs, I've had low and long periods of depression, not wanting to work at all, not wanting to talk to anyone, etc, but I always had the album looking me in the face saying, "focus on me".. It took a long time to commit to finishing this- my tastes changed, my recording style changed, my heart changed, but I knew scrapping it would set a precedent where I never was able to finish anything, so I made a pact to see it to the end regardless how my feelings for it changed over time. For all of that, I'm genuinely proud of myself for committing and learning to accept/love the songs for what they are.
I am really blessed to be surrounded by such good friends and to have a true support system in them. As far as the album goes I want to specifically thank
@lilsweaty_ for always being there and helping me move the project along, holding me accountable to it, being willing to sit down and touch up mixes when I was lost in the sauce.. It couldn't have been done without you bubba. Big shout to
@huronjohnny for the banging masters and two of the mixes, and for constantly showing me how to believe in myself as an artist. Shoutout to

@happentwice for being willing to take a chance working with me and helping get this thing out to the world, and to everyone else that knows who they are that listened to mixes, listened to me tweak on releasing this, helped along the way in any way-I'm forever grateful for all of you.
The album is 9 songs, 20 minutes long. I hope within that short time you are able to see a little more into my heart.
