Dream Illustration work for my biking family @standertbicycles 💚 Working on this piece was the definition of a dream come true. I had the opportunity to illustrate my favourite bike, the Standert PFADFINDER “Beetle Green” Colorway. 🪲 The process of this project happened rather quickly, and it was all about leaning into the process and trusting it. I really wanted to stay true to my approach of creating and illustrating while still pushing myself to experiment and try some new things. Thank you to the team for trusting my vision and approach 😊 “From Macassar, to Berlin, With Love” I love how everything I’m creating right now is coming full circle and the dots are connecting in real life as they have in my head over the last few years. The goal is to create work we care about and that means something to us. This meant the world to me. Hey there, my name is Richard Gregory Horne and I’m a illustrator and artist from Cape Town South a Africa. Here’s a little profile update and some work that I’ve enjoyed doing in the past. 📌 It’s been a minute since I spoke much on here, and it’s probably because I haven’t had much to say. Lots happening, lots changing, still trying and still creating. My work has changed, I have changed, evolved and will continue to. The creative journey is different for everyone and I’m still figuring it all out, as we all are, haha. I’m grateful for this path that I’m on and for every opportunity that’s come my way. My 30th Birthday ❤️ A moment of reflection looking at the last 10 years of my life. A crazy journey thinking back to when I turned 20, running into adulthood without a clue of what I’m doing, as all of us do. I’m so proud of the man I’ve become and thankful for everything I’ve learnt along the way. I’ve fallen so many times over this last decade and gotten back up, I can’t help but smile at this journey. This is, what feels like, the start of something new and beautiful. A photo from every year over the last 10 years, I think they speak for themselves. So many changes, not just physically but mentally too. The last two slides I took this morning, so special 💙. The beauty of growth. 🌹 Thank you to my 20’s for what they were 🫂 For the first time in a long time, I can truly say, I am so so happy on my birthday and to me that’s a sign that this next year, and chapter, will be a beautiful one.
