A stalagmite is a geological formation that slowly accumulates in the depths of a cave, in complete darkness. Created over a long span of time as minerals drip from the ceiling, each stalagmite takes on its distinct shape and size. None are alike, each rises in its own form. Over the years, some stalagmites meet the stalactites that nurtured them and they form a single column together. These silent structures, formed over countless ages, eventually emerge as striking presences.
This exhibition reflects on such processes, drawing a parallel with our own continuous growth and transformations. It presents stories of time, development, and the changes that quietly unfold through the works of two artists.
