Adam is our superhero
Late last year he KWALISHWA CRECHE. started to unexpectedly lose his eyesight. He had a choice... give up... or.... make the most of the situation.
Adam has begun to make the most incredible Playdoh using his peripheral vision and his incredible sense of touch.
Blessed with an amazing family and an incredible Aunty Nerina, his tragedy is now being shared as a blessing to the children of our valley who cannot afford Playdoh.
Adam lights up the room. The children adore him. He is a natural teacher and Impossible to not love.
Adam, Project Hope is incredibly proud of you.
You are an outstanding man, and we are honoured that you shared your story and your blessing with us. God sees you and has a plan for you. A plan that is bigger then you can ever imagine.
If anyone would like to order Playdoh from Adam, please pop us a message and we will send you his cell number. It beautifully made and packaged. Us Adults even love it

What an incredible day, last week Friday, we had visiting the Grade 1–3 learners at Amanzimtoti Primary School! 💙🐾 I’m Adam, and together with my guide dog Theo and my sweet mom Jane, we had the privilege of sharing a little bit about our daily lives and the important role service dogs play.
Theo absolutely loved meeting everyone (and getting all the attention and tasty treats of course!🍖), and it was so special to see the learners’ curiosity and excitement as we spoke about how Theo helps me navigate the world. The bond between us is something truly special, and being able to share that with such engaged and thoughtful young minds meant a lot to both of us.📚🍎📝
We’re so grateful to have been part of a day that celebrates inclusivity, kindness, and learning. Moments like these remind us why awareness and education are so important. 💛🦮🤩

What a lovely day spent at Maphindela Crèche and also Ithembalihle crèche both in Hammersdale. Such happy grateful children. These teachers do amazing work with the little they have. /share/p/19aDc39zQu/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Another successful delivery of my finger squishing play dough to Simavuna Crèche in Inanda. Lovely to see so many happy and excited little faces. Such fun to spread to the love. 🧡
What a joyful morning spent at Khulakhale Crèche in Cato Ridge and Sibusisiwe Nursery in Clermont with all these wonderful happy children. They were so grateful for the gift of my Pro Doh and they loved meeting and interacting with my guide dog Theo. 🤗
Last year, 23 year old Adam Gillespie unexpectedly began to lose his eyesight. It was a shock to him and his family but he decided to make the most of the situation and Project Ad was born!
“Project Ad is the umbrella term for the projects I am currently working on and Ad’s Pro Doh is one of them. The homemade play dough is sold and the money raised is used to make additional play dough for under-resourced schools and child care centres. Alternatively, corporates sponsor the Pro Doh to be donated to early childhood development centres,” explains Adam.
A corporate donor recently paid for 200 tubs of Pro Doh to be distributed and Adam partnered with Community Chest Durban to make sure they were delivered to those who would get the most use and joy out of them.
Last week Adam and his mom, Jane, visited Khulani Creche much to the teachers’ and pupils’ delight, and this week they are off to Khulakahle Creche to continue spreading happiness. They are going to keep working through the ECD Centres that Community Chest support.
If you would like to buy Pro Doh for yourself or to donate, please contact Jane on 082 776 9636. Let’s keep this incredible project going.
Well done Adam for your initiative and hard work!! #empower #enhance #earlychildhooddevelopment #joy #finemotorskills
This is Bobbi Bear… he gets to hear the children’s stories when they get picked up from their abusive homes.Sometimes they don’t have the words to describe what has happened to them so they just show, using Bobbi, what they have endured. Quite a humbling experience to visit this place 😭 Thank goodness for people like Erica who care for these children. Ad and I have decided we would like to support this place as one of Project Ad’s regular outreach projects
Thanks to a generous donation of 30 tubs of playdoh we were able to do a drop off at Ethembeni school for the physically handicapped and visually impaired. I was also able to introduce my guide dog, Theo to the children. He loved the attention and the children loved it too! A successful morning out for Project Ad!🤙🤩💪
