howdy folks & friends
hardposting on the personal feels as dramatic as starting a new journal these days, so I’ll keep the same energy
been cliché to insist as much for years now, but 2024 felt impossibly long. the omnipresent pain of genocide. the continued, exhausting rightward sliding of the empire. the late stage despair everywhere I find community.
I’ve barely even begun processing last January’s heartbreak. I put all my emotional eggs into a moving basket before being denied Home. The venues I cared for most prematurely sent me out into the wilderness.
But the GOODNESS. The terrifying & accessible Truth. The immense, overwhelming Beauty. Nine out of every ten projects I undertook this year failed and I’ve never learned more. I have community within communities, so much Love around me and all throughout my family of Poets. so, here’s a few images of people & scenes that bring me joy.
I have ONE resolution…to be better about responding & reaching out. I owe so many of you literal MONTHS of messages. I want to demonstrate, to put to action all the care in my head & heart when I THINK of messaging You, you, and/or YOU every single day. Open to suggestions & accountability.
