Wow – what a night.
There was only ever one venue that could host this fundraiser: the suite that proudly bears Paul Canoville’s name. With around 150 tickets sold, anticipation had been building for weeks, and the excitement was palpable as guests arrived. From the very first moment, it was clear this would be a special evening.
The programme was brought to life through a series of ‘talking heads’ style interviews featuring Canners and Dubbers, alongside Pat Nevin, Heather Small, Ken Monkou and Omid Djalili. Insightful, entertaining and at times delightfully ridiculous, these conversations struck the perfect balance between reflection and laughter.
A superb three-course meal followed, thoughtfully catering for all tastes, before music from Bridged rounded off the evening – this time performing on a stage rather than out of a first-floor window. Photography on the night was by the ridiculously talented Faysal Hassan who captured the spectacular image of the whole party under the Canoville banner in the stadium!
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who bought an event ticket, purchased a raffle ticket, donated an auction prize, placed a bid, danced, laughed and helped create such an incredible atmosphere. This was the celebration we hoped for – and more.
Special thanks also to our guests on the night: Pat, Heather, Omid, Ken and Frederick, whose generosity with their time and energy made the evening truly memorable. And to the Team Canoville volunteers – from seamless check-in and guest support, to managing photography, interviews, hosting, running the pub-game of heads and tails and bringing the entire event to life – this night simply would not have happened without you.
Everyone played their part, and together we raised vital funds that will allow Team Canoville’s work to continue and grow.
Our ABC values have never been more clearly embodied than they were at the Paul Canoville and Friends Dinner. Thank you all for making it a night we will never forget.

Hosted at Marsden Heights and broadcast across all three schools, students will hear first-hand from former Chelsea FC footballer Paul Canoville, whose powerful story reminds us that no matter the challenges, resilience makes the difference.
The Foundation team will then spend time in each school, meeting students and exploring our communities. There are some amazing opportunities ahead, and this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to share more!
