“Is it cake?” In honor of my 6- and 3-year-old’s favorite show, this is the first accomplishment in my career that my kids were truly excited to celebrate! Nothing made them happier than knowing Mommy helped design a cake for a client that looks like it came straight off the show. 🍰 Shout out to Sweet treets Bakery, my kids think you should be on the show! 😜
Thank you, @people for showcasing this detail + this day!

27 years of life.
9,855 days of being loved by God.
Words fail…they always do.
Weepy…thinking about life passing by. The brief intersection between the right now and the not yet—with God as my guide—has been my greatest adventure. One where the destination is sure, hope is fixed, and gaze is steady. One where I’ve experienced the greatest delight in God and the greatest reward: His presence. I’m thankful that the greatest gift is the one I already have—God Himself.
Every year of borrowed breath I have is given and sustained by my God. To be loved by Him is the greatest thing about me. Pray that this year would be another year of knowing more fully how his love forms the way I love.
This year has been one of my favorites with Him. I asked Him to “show me how good it gets with You,” and… He simply gave me more of Himself.
Today I can confidently say:
God is better.
I live with peace.
My hope is fixed.
Joy marks my life.
I love how God has made me.
My friends and community support me.
I live with purpose.
The world is vibrant and full of potential.
And on days where it’s hard to believe the above, God will continue to carry me homeward, back to him.
For what it’s worth, if you’re reading this, I’m so glad you exist and that God saw fit for our paths to cross for such a time as this. He loves you.

“Content creator” has become one of the most oversaturated titles of our time.
In a world where everyone documents everything
what they buy
what they eat
where they go
what they wear
more is shared than actually experienced.
Anyone can take a photo or video on their phone.
But what makes content creators different?
Because there is a difference between making content and telling stories.
Purely capturing content is filming what is seen.
Storytelling captures what is unseen.
The raw emotion.
The feeling in the room.
What it actually felt like to be there.
It demands a response.
Storytelling invites people to savor, reflect, remember.
I like to think of storytelling like building a house.
That is what artists are meant to do.
Build a permanent place where people can return
to revisit a memory
to relive a feeling
to remember what mattered most to them through the seasons
Not a place to live
but a place to visit again and again.
Music does this.
Food does this.
Fashion does this.
Cinema does this.
Art in every form transports us.
It takes us back.
It makes us feel.
And that…
is a story.
Not just content.
That’s a lot of why I started @_patternsofpeople … I never wanted to create content…. I’ve wanted to tell stories.
The greatest story wins, and we have the greatest story to tell!!
p.s. something exciting to come with @_patternsofpeople 🎞️
