🇬🇧 From 2021 to 2024, we worked on the Junior World Cups across both Freestyle disciplines:
🏂 Twintip
🏄🏽♂️ Strapless
Throughout these years, the
@spainkiteboardingleague has promoted and supported grassroots kiteboarding in all its forms, as we believe this is the only way for our sport to grow—or at the very least, to sustain itself.
Strapless was born in Tarifa in 2015 with the Tarifa PRO Strapless, and it seems it also met its end in Tarifa in 2025 at the GKA YWChampionships.
Yesterday,
@gkakiteworldtour officially announced that the next GKA YWChampionships will only be held in the Twintip format. This is a huge blow to the sport and to all of us who witnessed the boom and rebirth of kiteboarding thanks to Strapless Freestyle.

Durante estos años la
@spainkiteboardingleague ha promovido y apoyado el deporte base en todas sus variantes, ya que creemos que es la única manera de que nuestro deporte crezca o cuanto menos se mantenga.
El Strapless nació en Tarifa en 2015 con el Tarifa PRO Strapless y parece que murió también en Tarifa en 2025 con la GKA YWChampionchips.

@gkakiteworldtour informaba oficialmente que la próxima GKA YWChampionships sólo se llevará a cabo en su versión Twintip, noticia muy negativa para el deporte y para todos los que vimos el BOOM y renacer del Kiteboarding gracias al Freestyle Strapless.
