Greek-born DJ and producer NIKKNAME (@_nikkname ) creates music that emerges from deep introspection - an emotional reflection of his surroundings. Moving seamlessly between deep house, melancholic ambient, and moody disco, he unifies diverse sounds with a signature artistic depth. His work has found homes on respected labels such as Robert Johnson and Freeride Millenium.
Stylized in all caps, NIKKNAME’s alias symbolizes the boldness and passion that drive his art. “It’s about expressing my creative spirit,” he says - a philosophy reflected in his evolving yet cohesive body of work. His sound remains dynamic and biographical, bridging his early releases on Traum Schallplatten and Mangali to his current base in Vienna, where his collaboration with Freeride Millenium’s Jorkes marked a turning point. Since then, he’s released solo EPs, appeared on the IMPACT compilation, and co-produced tracks for Ombra International. In 2024, his remix of Jorkes’ Hot and his three-track EP Crossover on Live at Robert Johnson highlighted his artistic evolution.
Beyond production, NIKKNAME explores sound and art through his 80000 Radio show on Res Radio Vienna, and DJ sets at Club Romantica, Prst Vienna, HÖR Berlin, and Radio Rudina. He has contributed to art exhibitions like Partus Gyno (2021) and Lactans (2023), both with artist Claudia Lomoschitz, and collaborated with performer Sebastijan Gec on Huggy Bears (2024). With new cross-disciplinary projects underway, NIKKNAME continues to blur the lines between music, performance, and visual art - always with authenticity and emotion.

His return to Live At Robert Johnson kicks off with ‚Wind & Fairies,‘ a moody five-minute synth suspense with sustained, foggy chords pierced only by twinkling arps and cautious strings that speak of heading off on an adventure into the unknown. The brilliant ‚Rot‘ then layers up rugged and rumbling bass with bleeping synth sequences that make for a late-night trip through a deserted landscape. Last of all is the most direct and punchy cut ‚Crossover‘. It’s a synth-laced disco and house fusion with crashing hits and smeared pads all journeying next to a searching cosmic lead.
