Почти ровно три года назад @makrimka @fan4itta и я укатили в Урлу и Чешме чтобы ничего. А просто так. Погуляли, потупили, посетили музей Чесменского сражения. И все. А и норм. Curb your enthusiasm короче.

Sometimes I intentionally shoot people, sometimes I wait for them to leave, sometimes they accidentally walk into the frame and make it better. Can you guess which one of these was accidental?

It doesn’t snow in Tbilisi often. I took my camera out and let the moment happen →

If Albert Bierstadt had ever been to Stepantsminda, he would have painted this scene.

When my friend Andrey @dstjkt came to Georgia, a Stepantsminda hike became one of the main goals of the trip. We had mapped our main route towards (not to!) the Kazbegi Glacier — just past Gergeti Trinity Church — for about 12 km and nearly 1,200 m of elevation gain. It was far from a Sunday afternoon stroll, so we agreed to do smaller trails beforehand, with gradually increasing difficulty. On the second day, we tried our luck on the less crowded east side of Stepantsminda, and it turned out to be quite fun — especially when I was showing off my landslide surfing skills (check the Reels tab). On the final day of the main hike, we were ready mentally, physically, and equipment-wise. So we went for it. The weather was rainy but perfect for moody shots, the scenery was amazing, the filter coffee was acidic and… cold — and it was all worth it. The joy of achieving something, of finding the strength within you to keep moving when you thought you were done — that’s one of the best feelings. And then there was the longing for khinkali with chacha on the way back. In the video here, I’m not just enjoying the breeze — I’m thinking about the meal.

And it's time for my top-10 of the year! I never thought that 2025 would be so outing-intensive! But when you live in such a fantastic place like Georgia, it's hard to stay inside, especially when you have friends with "shilo v zhope" (ants in their pants). So here are the photos and short stories: Forest near Kojori/Azeula Fortress Just a random day when we decided to go out and check the snow in a well-known place near Tbilisi – the fresh snow made everything magical and we had lots of fun just hanging around. And although we got really cold, we climbed on top of Azeula Fortress – where we met some folks who treated us with champagne! (Also ice cold) 41.651183, 44.678300 Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, road to Ushguli village It was our third day of a week-long trip to the Svaneti region, and very early in the morning. We'd arrived in Ushguli late and barely saw the mountains after sunset, so we decided to take off before dawn to thoroughly enjoy the views. Is this view worth the sleepy eyes? Hunpercent! 42.911206, 43.061244 Kuro Mountains, view from Gergeti village First day of our five-day trip to and around Stepantsminda with my friend Andrey. Fantastic views everywhere and hikes every day! Even this shot was taken when we decided to check out a café in a nearby village – and the road there was also a mini-hike! (Amazing café btw – Maisi) 42.666033, 44.628336 Bear-Cross Pass, Dusheti Funny how the most photogenic things at this pass are the views around – the endless hills and god rays from above – but I was amazed by the look of those layers of stone formations and rock flakes. And the colors! Otherworldly! 42.522054, 45.056245 Mutso village Very old (approx. X century) stronghold village Mutso has some fantastic surroundings. Watchguards probably loved their job at the time. 42.607049, 45.207590 Second half in the comments below ⬇️

#letsgosomewhere #roamtheplanet #travelphotography #imaginarymagnitude #thegreatexpanse #getoutside #moodynature #georgiatravel #sonyalpha #sakartvelo #🇬🇪
