Bit of a tough one to write so I’ll try to keep it short, its - bye for now.
I just can’t continue on as I am, trying to run NEMCEE, trying to fix the issues in my head, figure out some life stuff and now work a full time - very structured job. NEMCEE is all things I’ve believed in under one brand name, the way in which everything is designed, made, fabrics, photographed, everything. It's the phonetic spelling of my initials, literally >me< in a way.
I can’t carry on trying to make it work when it isn’t and it's negatively affecting me and others. I made the decision a couple of months back to get a “normal” job, alongside NEMCEE as spending every day alone in a worsening headspace and racking up debt trying to keep the brand going was no way to live.
The job I ended up with wound up being a job I never expected getting and something that makes me so happy, I’m busy I’m learning and I’m part of something really special.
So as sad as I am to say that NEMCEE isn’t going to be around for a while it’s a huge weight off my shoulders.
I will get round to making things again, it isn’t gone forever but right now I need to get myself sorted.
I have so many people to thank who have been kind and supportive over the last few years- every customer, every nice message, every share. The patience and support of my friends and family, it’s very overwhelming and I’m trying to balance feeling like a let-down with doing what I know is right for myself. It's been a wild ride, so many jackets, so many studios, so many late nights, so many laughs- just too many tears!
I’m not entirely sure what’s going to happen with the studio as I still want to be able to sew (and I have A LOT of stuff) but will probably be leaving sometime next year – give me a shout if you’re looking for a space in Stockport.

For those of you who got the email I sent last week you’ll know if headed back into full time working in industry, this means I’m not sure when the next batch of anything will be available! I’m planning to do things as and when I have the capacity- this will probably align with any stock we make that’s bound for our stockists in Japan, but again this is unknown too so I’m really not sure the next time these overcoats will be available. Life’s been a wild one the last few years and these changes are all in the name of finding some balance so I hope you guys understand and stick along for the journey! 💚
