My motivation and drive used to be fueled by an unhealthy fear of not becoming who I want to be. A fear of losing. A fear of embarrassment in front of thousands of people. A fear of becoming complacent in my training and skills.
That spirit of fear has been replaced with an intense drive to be the man God already sees me as. A drive to use the attributes and discipline he’s given me to the fullest. A drive to not waste the gifts he has given me.
The battle with that spirit of fear is an everyday thing and I am blessed I have the people around me and the resources to help me keep my foot on its throat.
“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Waking up in fight camp always brings new realizations to light. Not only do you have to mentally and physically prepare but also spiritually. To be on a stage with millions watching is a massive opportunity to either glorify yourself or glorify God. The responsibility we have as Christians is so important and should not be taken lightly.
To love people the way Christ did.
To be virtuous even when it’s hard.
To die to ourselves in order to glorify Christ.
The reality that I always come back to is that if there is a stage or no stage, a fight or no fight the responsibility is the same. To honor God with everything we do if millions are wanting or if no one is watching.
I am so blessed to do what I love while pursuing my calling.
Last year we invested nearly half a million dollars into the community.
Brand deals. Schools. Athletics. Events.
This year? We’re going bigger.
