Trente ans de carrière et un nouvel album, ça se fête !
Né en 1996 dans la foisonnante scène alternative genevoise, Impure Wilhelmina revient cette année avec un huitième album attendu, « Le sanglot », entre rock sombre et metal aux accents progressifs. Publié chez Season of Mist, ce nouvel opus dévoile la dernière mutation du groupe, à la fois radicale et si naturelle: des textes intégralement en français, pour la première fois de son histoire.
Pour marquer le coup, les Genevois ont concocté, en co-production avec PTR, une soirée vernissage et anniversaire avec deux invités de marques, et amis de longue date du groupe: Nostromo, mastodonte genevois aux riffs acérés et à la frappe surpuissante, également né en 1996 et avec qui Impure Wilhelmina a partagé son premier concert ; et Mütterlein, projet expérimental de Marion Leclercq (ex-Overmars), quelque part entre doom, noise, indus et black metal, dont la noirceur sauvage hante également un titre du nouvel album d’Impure Wilhelmina. La boucle est bouclée.
