Fall 🍂
I couldn’t live without season’s changing.
Cold, еven frosty autumn mornings, the foliage rustling underfoot, the damp leaves smell in parks, firewood accords during evening walking - colorful and generous season.
It was a very long day with an 18 mile hike, an early 4am wake up and a crazy hunt for a parking spot on a foggy morning.
We took a back and forth Highline trail: it was cool and full of milk foam in mountain ravines at sunrise, with mountain peaks being gently kissed by sun rays.
It was especially nice to see Grinnell lake and glacier again from another viewpoint on Garden Wall.
And there we met a well-fed marmot who was just lying on the edge of the cliff and admiring all these stunning views.
I stopped at every single turn of our way back just because a new breathtaking view appeared. I wanted to absorb all this natural beauty and keep it in my heart.
There is nothing more beautiful than the mountains 🏔️

Grinnell glacier trail to Upper Grinnell lake.
I’m speechless in front of all this natural beauty: blue glacier lakes and balsam firs, alpine meadows and mountain streams - the feast for your eyes and the rest for your soul.
We tried horse riding as well around Josephine lake. It was Kira’s first time doing this.

Two things I will remember from this trip: the cold, soulless rocks that can leave a strong impression on you, and the balsamic scent of fir on top of Cadillac Mountain at sunset.
