Motion Flow is a creative event founded and hosted by incredible vocalist @ellcsings alongside a magical band consisting of drummers, double bassist and pianist from Londoner’s vibrant jazz scene. Music is at the heart of the event - creating the starting points for many creative sparks to fly. Thank you to all the musicians who showed up and made this wonderful evening possible!

It was such a pleasure to get to take part in the multidisciplinary event Motion Flow, @_motionflow_ , is hosted and founded by @ellcsings . Though out the event I felt enveloped in creativity as artists responded and reacted to each other, with forms of expression such as music, painting, poetry and dance symbiotically intertwining.
I performed a live painting, guided by the music and emotion conveyed by the artists, allowing it inform my mark making, resulting in a piece with an energetic, raw and emotive quality.

The band plays - the poets speak - the dancers dance and our resident artist creates work in response to all the creative conversations happening in the space.. It is an energetic exchange of ideas both sonic and visual through performer and audience.

our artist tomorrow is the phenomenal ZAMI.
ZAMI is a multi-disciplinary artist from the Maldives, specialising in sculpture, while also exploring painting and sound. Her art serves as a visual dialogue on culture, tradition, society, freedom, climate change and politics of ecology. Zami translates these concepts into captivating portraiture and thought-provoking abstract sculptures and visual arrangements. She is greatly influenced by artists such as John Akumfrah, Shilpa Gupta and Shirin Neshat.
She’ll be creating in collaboration with our band & dancers grab a ticket through the link in the bio- don’t miss out! 🪷
joining us on stripped back drums & percussion on Sunday is Simba Jindu!
A London based drummer with a sophisticated and fresh approach to groove. His playing is influenced by a number of genres including gospel, R&B, Afro fusion and funk. Expect: fluid technique, metric manipulation and genre versatility. Join us for a night of unique sounds & musiking inspired by Liberation.

“Hey y’all, I’m Mei. Mainly a pianist, keys player and producer. I make music under the name Yumé NET (jazz crossed with experimental electronic music) but I also play for various bands around the London scene. A lot of what I do is really strongly guided by emotion, including my playing on piano. I’m looking forward to exploring the space with you all and feeling it out!”
