This marks the second edition of our Glome Series, a Various Artists format bringing together members of the IO family on one shared release. It also feels very special to have this release on vinyl, since it marks the second vinyl release on our label. THU 09/04 [Start 20:00] Room For Music : Blitz Listening Sessions BLITZ IO Records 20:00 - End. Donation-based entry! Founded in 2018 by Dycide, MTRL and our resident Polygonia, the Munich-based collective and audiovisual platform has grown from a shared studio practice into one of the city’s most distinctive creative ecosystems: held together not by a fixed sound, but by a genuine curiosity about process, detail and what becomes possible when producers actually work in each other’s company. Their edition of Room for Music turns the spotlight inward. Vanta and Mitra, IO’s most recent additions, each step forward with a live set. An introduction to where the collective is heading next. The evening then opens into a collective b2b session, drawing freely from the full arc of the label’s output: established works, new material, and tracks still finding their shape. ********************** With Rooms For Music: Blitz Listening Sessions, we lean into something quieter and perhaps more radical. Across twelve Thursday evenings, we refurnish the floor at Blitz Club into a casual bar and hangout space, complete with special drinks, as local collectives, labels and community-driven initiatives take over to curate nights devoted not to dancing, but to listening. Inspired by classic listening sessions yet firmly rooted in Munich’s present, Rooms For Music shifts attention to the B-sides and the details between the beats, reconnecting with our former format Before The Party Starts. We open the series with evenings hosted by the labels Ilian Tape and Squama, with more to follow. Each invited group shapes its own dramaturgy: from ambient excursions, artist talks and deep techno meditations to jazz-informed dialogues, post-punk reflections and beyond. We’re excited to see these ideas unfold and where the series will go!

Mitra - Vivarium [IO:034] After their appearance on our log-series, it is time to welcome the next addition to our IO family! Vivarium is the debut of Vienna-based live duo Mitra and we are more than happy to release it on our label! With this release Mitra translates the energy and spatial depth of their live performances into a recorded form for the first time. Across seven tracks, they offer a vivid insight in their sonic world. Mainly rooted in low-end, groove, and intricate textures, each composition evolves with its own natural rhythm, growing and transforming like a living system. All in all, it serves as a deeply physical yet immersive listening experience that invites presence and close attention. Step inside the Vivarium. Over the last months, we had some beautiful moments playing our live set and wanted to share a few impressions with you. 📷 Thanks a lot @fr1cka & @tsusday for the documentation 🫰 Each performance was shaped by its own space, energy, and sound system. Each performance unfolded in its own unique way. Shaped by the space we were in, the atmosphere of the moment, and the sound system surrounding us. It’s this shared energy that makes each experience so special and keeps our sound in constant motion. …two weeks ago on a sunny afternoon we met in the studio and played music on the beautiful wooden installation embedded in the project „Your Club Is Not My Club“ The Project is about translating music, making sound more tactile, making musical experiences more playful and shareable with others - and especially opening this experience up for people who might experience music differently.. Playing music in a different setting on a different sound box - with an intimate atmosphere and nice people was super wholesome💚 thanks for coming by and sharing this with us.. Also a big thank you to @johanna_kalinke & @nov.reka for sharing the same vision about this topic with me and realising this together! + @mtrl_io for the best support!💚 ..also @tsusday for capturing this so magically:)
