This post is way overdue, but this project is so special to me. My first time working in both crew and cast🧚🏻♀️
Thank you to @tristamdavis for trusting me to produce this with you and for letting me be your assistant. I seriously had the best time from putting together a pre-production checklist, making the filming schedule, seeing your vision come to life, rehearsing as cast, and the chaos of rearranging the timesheet 30 minutes into filming haha
Trista, you’re so insanely talented and this was honestly one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. And @jamiejptm , thank you for being so down to hop on board the moment I told you about it, and for being so awesome as always! Thank you for the best & the most smooth shoot day to all the cast & crew!!!

Last year in Quill’s creative cycle, for my artist statement, I wrote: “I am a painter on a blank canvas. May there be spaces that flourish, may there be empty spaces, and voids. I share quiet silences in a colorful corner. I wish to acknowledge that no matter where you’re at with your painting, it’s still beautiful to you. I wish to curate a gallery of where you’re at right now, where you’ve been, not where you end. I wish you can hear the wind speak to you, calling your name. Live freely and passionately. To be messy, to be raw, and keep painting.” This beautiful song by @angiemcmahon reminded me of just that.
I wanted to create more this year without thinking too much about it being perfect. I wanted to create more for myself and I forgot that sometimes I can just grab my camera and make something without thinking too much about it!

Someone told me that I could leave the city, and go somewhere when I feel stuck. I wanted to do something I’ve never done before 22 is over and this solo trip happened at the perfect time. I loved Toronto, I’ll be seeing you soon I’m sure🤎
