🥀☠️🥀☠️🥀 Our Journey to Farewell Continues 🥀☠️🥀☠️🥀 From @_pandora555_ . Loki re-started Masters of Darkness on 23 November 2013. I remember the day well..the previous M.o.D had to shut down due to a dark period in our lives at the time. But it reopened and became bigger and better than before. My role was behind the scenes in setting up texts and lending ideas to layouts. Loki often referred to me as the Linguistics Department 😂 In August 2014, I wanted to be more involved and started helping Loki run the challenges and then was born the septum_noctium challenges. Every Monday night here in Sydney, Australia, I would be up late into the night and wee hours of the morning judging the entries. Many a time I would fall asleep with Loki waking me to finish..... later on when Janice came on board ... she too would message me to get to bed. My 💔heart is so sad...as it could not be more sad🥺. I will miss Loki forever whilst here on planet Earth but in saying that, he is with me and I am still learning to live with this new presence. He communicates with music, rainbows and gifts of love that at times and most recently, has turned my moments of living upside down. He has also left all of us a legacy ... this is Masters of Darkness. It is all of you that have made this hub what it is today. She is based in the United States. When Loki’s health continued to decline, he asked her to take on the role of ‘Lead Moderator’. Loki knew this was a big ask but we were so fortunate that Janice agreed. Janice saved M.o.D from falling apart as neither Loki nor myself had the strength to run the hub on our own. Our main focus was his health and keeping up with the unsurmountable amount of medical appointments over the ensuing years. Janice is an Angel that walks on this planet Earth. Her heart is made of pure stardust. She has supported, inspired and encouraged a generation of dark artists on IG. Forever indebted to you dear Jan for keeping M.o.D alive and for being so caring to Loki.....I know he loves you incredibly, Dearest Jan.....from Loki and me, we thankyou immensely from our hearts. There is so much I can say about Gareth.... his energy and enthusiasm are simply sublime. I also remember Gareth’s entries to our challenges ....incredible every time. WHAT MASTERS OF DARKNESS MEANT TO GARETH ‘MoD was Loki, it was @obscuras_darkness . It was a place I stumbled across whilst I was looking for a home on Instagram well before it became the social media outlet it now is. Back then Instagram was a photography sharing platform and groups were more like a family. So when Loki asked me if I wanted to join I was at first astounded that he knew my work and secondly amazed that I was accepted into such a wonderful world and family. I had been part of a couple other groups, but MoD is the only one that stayed with me for good. To top it off you and the team accepted me as a moderator and I had made it to the inner sanctum, something I wish I'd been able to do whilst Loki had still been with us. I believe I've done everything I could to keep his legacy alive and am extremely proud to have been part of his vision. With love, Gareth’ .
