I’d go to Black Park about once a month as a kid. There’s a fence that backs onto Pinewood Studios and I’d always try to get the tiniest glimpse of whatever blockbuster was being filmed at the time… Never expected to be on the other side of that fence so soon.

Without a doubt the best view so far, stepping out the camper and seeing the night sky exactly as it is in these pictures, in the biggest dark sky reserve in the world - and then Jupiter and its four moons through a telescope. First pic shows the milky way, two dwarf galaxies, the southern cross, Alpha and Beta Centauri, and a shooting star. Second pic of Orion and Sirius. Pics taken with help from an Astrophotgrapher.
