FIELD OF SCREAMS RECAP!!
First and foremost I'd like to wish the happiest of birthdays to some of my best friends in the world
@dagesenam @matthew_haywood_456 and
@awsty316 and thank them for their trust in throwing this celebration 🥳
Second off a H U G E thank you to all of the bands for taking the time to drive out to the middle of nowhere and rock our socks off!
@mustseeteeveeband started things off with their incredible blend of Midwest psychedelic dad rock, and despite the freezing temperatures outside knocked it out of the park, and got the crowd warmed up better than the hot dogs being grilled 🌭
Following the hall being opened up we had the always amazing
@thebandglen take over and rip us to shreds with their insane instrumentality, love of patty-cake, shimmering vocals, and gorgeously good vibes ✨
Once everybody was heated up our resident MOBO enthusiast
@iguess_im_kevin gave us one of the most beautiful acoustic sets I've ever heard, with a special guest appearance to sing The Thrash Particle and move the crowd to tears 💧
Closing out the main part of the show was our forever hometown heroes
@tequila.mockingbird.band practically burning the building down with how much energy both they and the crowd put out during their set, having a circle pit AND crowdsurfers was never something I thought I'd see in my own polling place 🗳️
Last but certainly not least was a killer jam session with
@wanderlust_band2024 and
@shopping_list0_0 BOTH playing one of their first live sets ever and absolutely annihilating it, finishing up with the lovely
@pixlpvnk (who also took most of these photos) giving a hauntingly emotional reading of their poetry ✍️
I cannot express enough how grateful and appreciative I am to every single person who showed up, helped out, hung around, sang, screamed, and danced along with us! This was my first time hosting a show, and seeing so many familiar and new faces in the crowd coming together and having a good time is what makes it all worth it. Thank you to everyone in this community for everything that you do and everything that you are, I can't wait to see you all again soon ❤️
