What a pleasure it has been to watch you blossom from into the phenomenal woman you are today. Your journey is one of resilience and a bold representation of what happens when you take hold of every opportunity placed before you.
Today, I sat in your hooding ceremony and listened to the keynote speaker, @siabakerbarnes , who made history as the first Black woman president in The Florida Bar’s history. A reminder that even in 2026, there are still “firsts” being accomplished in spaces that have existed for centuries.
That means there are still barriers to break, ceilings to shatter and rooms that desperately need your brilliance in them. But I know with “J.D.” behind your name, those ceilings will continue to fall.

Being able to pour into these young people as they step into their next chapter filled me up in ways I can’t even describe.
This is just a snippet, but one thing I had to leave them with… a reminder that they’re Broward babies.
That means resilience.

That means greatness, even when the path isn’t clear yet.

Somebody said it was #internationalpageantday & I couldn’t skip it! Amazing to see my evolution over 9 years. You know the saying, once a pageant girl … forever a pageant girl! Who knew the need to scholarships would turn into creating sisters all over the U.S., and speaking in rooms I dreamt of. Each crown pushed me a little more.
Definitely enjoying retirement though 😂🫶🏾.
