I’d been planning and working on this piece for so long, I had become blind to how it was progressing. Leaving it to stew in the corner for a month gave me a new perspective and appreciation. I’m really pleased with the results.

I’ve started to lean further into contrasting shadows and I think it’s effective. I started this piece on an ochre background which helps the glow come through!
