got to spend a day at @butchers_leicester 💆‍♀️ last week and it was beautiful!
the team were so inviting and kind, the clients clearly felt really looked after, it smelt great! and everyone was mad cool
naturally i don’t use a hairdressers anymore, so it was the nicest opportunity to see a team and business full of heart and creativity
and ofc, i fell in love with the dog.
they’re great, support them ❤️

it’s been a while since I’ve been somewhere new,
able to wake up and just go at it,
follow instinct, let it find me
I’m very fortunate for these moments,
this is the real medicine, the good stuff

it’s been a poignant weekend. a celebration of love,
of discovering new places,
and quietly putting parts of myself to bed

a week ago today, the rutland st @therealaleclassroom launched 7 events in 4 days for the easter weekender!
i was lucky enough to be invited to shoot the closing gig/party i ended up there most of the other days too đź«
the main thing i took away is, this these places matter
they bring together creatives and people who love creativity, across genres, mediums, and backgrounds
leicester is a city made beautiful by its people
and the people behind these events really pulled that together and celebrated it ❤️
a little dump before i step away for a bit, a positive pause
i’ve been taking all these silly photos without really knowing why, and now i’m going to sit with them properly and try to understand what they are, and what they could become
i’m honestly quite scared. but i never thought i’d get the chance to do something like this, and i feel like i owe it to myself and to anyone who doesn’t get that opportunity to follow it all the way through
i’m working towards my first exhibition. no fixed idea yet, just trusting whatever this is and seeing where it leads
the realisation that i’m a photographer/artist came from you. i just did this out of necessity, to keep me feeling alive. even today i got a message saying i saw this place and it reminded me of your photos. it makes me so emotional. thank you for all your help and belief
