As the official videographer for THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, my primary challenge revolves around generating dynamic content within a consistent location, Pentecost Convention Centre but at various intervals. I often ponder, ‘How can I introduce novelty into my creations?’ This question becomes a constant companion, echoing in my mind as I quietly observe. Surprisingly, with each iteration, a distinctive piece of content emerges.
In a manner similar to my creative exploration, we may find ourselves traversing the familiar terrain of our lives—residing in the same community, working in the same office, engaging in repetitive tasks, driving the same car, and adhering to a consistent daily routine. This routine can breed monotony, leading to moments of discouragement where we yearn for something more than our current circumstances. However, let me share a comforting perspective with you, drawing inspiration from Philippians 4:11-13: “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
The essence lies not in constantly changing our daily activities but in altering our perception of them. Remarkably, by shifting our perspective, we uncover hidden treasures within the tapestry of our routines. Just as Matthew 6:22-23 encourages us, “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
Take a moment to appreciate the intrinsic beauty of your way of life. Engage in introspection, and you will undoubtedly unveil the subtle, yet profound, beauties woven into the fabric of your daily existence.
