A fun (and slightly dangerous đ ) adventure in FinlandâŚ
What started as a simple trip to a reindeer park turned into 34 bus stops⌠in the wrong direction. We ended up deep in Nuuksio National Park, hopping off and following a short trail (see pictures 1-3) into the forest that definitely didnât feel like the entrance we were expecting.
A quick map check confirmed it â we were heading the wrong way, about a 1-hour drive and a 2/3 hour walk from where we actually needed to be.
In the middle of winter, with the sun already setting around 15:00, things got interesting⌠(that 4th photo was taken roughly 90 minutes later đ ).
Somehow, we made it â just in time to catch the park for opening. Huge shoutout to an incredible bus driver who helped us get back to the nearest town and even stopped the next bus after it had already left so we could jump on and wouldnât miss the reindeers.
Not the plan⌠but definitely an adventure.
