At LCG, we recently introduced a 36-hour working week!
With an early finish each week, our Purple People now have more time for life outside of work.
Here’s what some of the team had to say about the change 💜
What would you do with the extra time?
Looking after your mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health
Small changes can make a massive difference, so let’s look out for ourselves and each other.
Sometimes just a quick text to check in or a five-minute chat while the kettle’s boiling is enough to lift the weight a bit.
Mental health isn’t just a one-week conversation; it’s about making these small, honest moments a habit in our daily lives.
So, keep talking, keep listening, and don’t be a stranger to your own thoughts.
Today’s society can come with immense pressure, and a simple check-in can make a world of difference. Recognising the signs of poor mental health, not only in yourself, but also in those around you, is so important.
Here is what some of our previous learners had to say about why they took a course in mental health and wellbeing...
With GCSE exams now underway, we would like to wish all learners the very best of luck 💜
We know how important this time can be, not only for those taking exams, but also for the families, friends, and teachers supporting them along the way.
Good luck to everyone taking their exams over the coming weeks.

As conversations around mental wellbeing continue to grow, understanding how to support others has never been more important.
Supporting someone with their mental health does not have to feel overwhelming, it can be as simple as listening without judgement, encouraging open conversations, or helping someone access the support they need.
lets start the conversation and make an impact on the lives of others
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week 💜
Mental health can affect anyone, and knowing where to start isn’t always easy.
Sometimes the first step is just checking in, talking openly, or recognising when support is needed.
Acknowledge the stress.
Start the conversation.
Support yourself and others.
Keep an eye out this week as we share more around mental health, wellbeing, and support.
At LCG, we’re proud to see our learners grow in confidence and develop new skills.
Our Hair & Beauty Academies give learners the chance to learn in a hands-on, supportive environment while preparing for their future careers.
Hear what one of our learners had to say about her experience.
All the learners and staff at MPCT in Portsmouth were delighted to welcome the local MP, Amanda Martin, to visit our academy.
MPCT offers a fantastic and unique training environment for young people looking to start their military career.
Throughout our 40 academies nationally we have helped over 6000 young people secure military careers by offering a blend of vocational and skills training, physical activity, military training days, and personal development.
Today is International Day of the Midwife.
Midwives play a vital role in supporting families at some of the most important moments in their lives.
If you’re thinking about a career in midwifery, our Access to HE Diploma (Midwifery) can help you take that first step and prepare for university-level study.
