1-3) Tristan and Lydia’s garden party - one of the best days at the flat! It was Summer 2020 and we were coming towards the end of the first lockdown. Things had started relaxing ever so slightly and we now knew that outside hangouts were pretty low-risk, so this was everybody’s first dose of social time in a while. Tristan set off some flares he casually had lying around (why not!), we drank wine and played dress up, we had a very small and sensible fire which irked a nimby neighbour who called the fire brigade (the firemen agreed it was unnecessary), and later on we even saw a hedgehog. Crazy!
4-5) MONK WATCH! Attempts to reason with myself during the eviction battle were tricky, like I would sometimes try to write a pro’s and con’s list about the flat, but the pro’s list was always exponentially longer. One of the most you-gotta-be-kidding-me, couldn’t-make-it-up entries to the pro’s list was that our neighbours were Literal Buddhist Monks. Oh you want a chill nice neighbour situation? Beat that!! Fuckin Buddhist monks!!! Anyway it turned out they were actually really pedantic about parking but besides that they were pretty cool and it did make for some truly elite people watching from the kitchen window.

YEAH I’m posting a 2025 recap in mid-January YEAH I’ve been busy packing and crying what you gonna do about it????? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: time is annoying and stupid and I do not care for it. BUT if we must adhere to the conventions of the Gregorian calendar (insane decision to give to a pope?), I would say that 2025 had a lot of stress and horrible bits interspersed with various nice bits, as you can see here. I will also say that I think 2026 will be the year that I exact my revenge

well, after 10 long years i finally made it back to my home from home, and it was extremely trippy and surreal to be dropped back into that world after so much time and so much change, to still find it every bit as magical and special as my wide-eyed 20-something self believed it to be. it feels conflicting and strange to have had this incredible dreamy time in the states when there is so much to feel utterly sickened by - lots of fear and heavy conversations in amongst a lot of joy. i don’t know how to make sense of the senseless but this trip will stick with me for a long time. will never be able to put into words how grateful i am to have met @a_heart_so_true and @baroque_shawty and all the amazing, cool, kind, fun, welcoming friends that have always looked after me, fed me, driven me around and made fun plans with me - i don’t know what i did to deserve it and all my thoughts on it feel vague and insufficient in light of all the persisting horrors, but it would be nice if everyone got to experience such love and care and joy in their lives. brimming with gratitude and hope i can pour some of this energy into good things ❤️

Still cracking up at that last video there… if it is not clear, that is me and blue milk carton reacting cartoonishly to pink milk carton falling backwards extremely cartoonishly (he actually nearly fell offstage and we were genuinely worried for a second but literally nobody else noticed because they were too deep in the Robbie LOL)… I’m just sad nobody got footage of the following couple of minutes where me and blue milk carton were trying to help him up, maybe the most slapstick snapshot of time ever witnessed in human history.
