It’s a season of change, and if you feel strange, it’s probably good. That lyric hit me straight in the gut when I first heard it. That’s what the past year and a bit have felt like…so much change, weirdness, and goodness. Turning 30, living back with my parents, dismantling my old life and building a new one. Reuniting with my belongings after a year and moving into my own place (I can finally put a nail in the wall!). Gradually shedding and letting go of my expectations of what I should achieve, be, or do. This year really was the year of the snake for me, change direction if you need to, let go of old versions of yourself. Kiss your friends, do the tricky stuff. Shed, shed, shed, shed, and if you feel strange, it’s probably good.
I want to thank my power lesbians for the glam, photoshoot, styling, and for borrowing the shoes. Last pic is them forcing me to buy a slay fit at the markets. Love ya guts @laura.jrose@hannahpagano
