We designed an interface for both the rat and the rat owner. For inspiration, we explored the online collection Europeana, where we discovered historical tiles. Using the patterns found on these tiles, we created a series of assignments for building mazes.
On the final page of the workbook, there is also a section where the rat owner can design their own maze.
I was responsible for designing the workbook. For the cover, I used a laser cutter to engrave and cut the design. Inside, the workbook contains both structured assignments and blank pages. The layouts were created using Illustrator and InDesign.
We also conducted user testing, which was a lot of fun. It was great to see the rats interacting with the interface, as well as the rat owners building and creating their own mazes. We received positive feedback and responses during the testing phase.

Publicatie - ‘From?, to balance’
In dit werkboek zijn 3 oefeningen waarmee je een balans vind. Tijdens deze oefeningen is er ruimte om notities te maken en zo je hoofd/gedachtes ook te ordenen.
De cover is gemaakt van plexiglas, de pagina’s zijn uitneembaar zodat er makkelijk mee te werken is.
Bij de eerste oefening kleur je de afbeeldingen in. De kleuren combinatie kies je uit de kleurcirkel.
De tweede oefening is het maken van je eigen afbeelding op een grid. Hier werk je in symmetrie, zo onstaat er een balans in je zelf gemaakte grid. Je kan deze daarna weer inkleuren met behulp van de kleurcirkel.
Als laatste zijn het de borduur pagina’s, waar je de kleuren en werking in symmetrie combineert (dus beide eerdere opdrachten) en dus weer de balans maakt.

Dyslectisch woordenboek
Een aantal pagina’s uit het woordenboek. Hiermee kunnen dyslecten opzoeken hoe ze een woord moeten spellen, met daarbij herkenning van hoe wij zelf denken dat je het woord spelt. En voor niet-dyslecten om te ontcijferen wat de dyslect heeft geschreven.
