Hereās a clip of the piece I made for our 3rd place win at Elements XXII along with the outro which was the result of a collaboration with my amazing fellow choreographers. Thankful is an understatement for the gratitude I feel for this group and the people that supported and believed in us all throughout. Thank you to my cast for enduring the marathon that I put yāall through. Please go watch our full set and show some love! An immense amount of hard work and effort was put into our set.
I also wanted to dedicate this performance to my family especially my dear Auntie Maemae. How I wish you were still here to see us on that stage. I hope Koikoi made you proud.

I realize itās been a long time since Iāve posted something or spent more than 5 minutes on social media so I thought sharing my recent work was the perfect opportunity to say hi.
I sort of disappeared from the world because different areas in my life have siphoned the life and spark out of me. I missed birthdays, have hundreds of messages I havenāt replied to, because I just wasnāt in a good place mentally. I know I disappointed a lot of people with my absence and unresponsiveness.
Though we never really had a āthemeā for this set, it has sort of mirrored in a way what I have been going through in life. It feels like Iāve hit rock bottom, and with this piece specifically, I wanted it to feel like that moment when you slowly start to take your power and your life back. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
Even though my experience for this competition prep was different from the others, I am still pretty grateful because it gave me purpose. As much as I hated the long drive to practice, being able to dance and create this set with this group was a blessing that I will not take for granted.
Thank you @kennyhnguyen_ for giving me the chance to create once more for this group and for being incredibly patient with me. The amount of time, effort, and love you poured into this team and set has been a joy to experience.
Thank you to my fellow choreographers, watching you guys create and block your pieces has inspired me deeply.
My fellow fashion committee girlies, it has been quite the journey, but thank you for all your hardwork and for working together to make the team look good on stage.
I havenāt been my best self lately at practice, so thank you to my cast and my fellow teammates for being so patient and understanding with all of the changes and confusion. Finally, thank you to my forever best friend @fredonarrival . I didnāt think that I would make it into this new year, but you pulled me out of a really really dark place and I canāt even put into words how eternally grateful I am. I would not have been able to create this piece if it wasnāt for you.

Even as we continue to grow and develop our own identities as individuals, I still hold so close to my heart, my identity as an identical twin. As YOUR twin. It will always be a part of me that I feel incredibly lucky and blessed for.
As I reflect and look back at the life weāve lived together so far, I feel an immense joy to see the person you have grown to become and I look forward to seeing the future we both will build in each of our own lives. Just know that throughout any endeavor you will have, I will always be in your corner, cheering you on.
Happy birthday, I love you so much, and thank you for being my bestest friend, even before we had the consciousness and awareness to be one.

Iāve always been so tough on myself and my biggest critic, so working on this set has been particularly challenging on top of everything going on in life. But seeing the finished product and getting to perform on stage with the team is something I will always cherish.
This piece and this set wouldnāt be the way it is without my team @dayone.dmv . As a choreographer, I always consider it a blessing to have dancers who work so hard to make the vision a reality, so I appreciate every single one of you.
To my fellow fashion committee girlies, Julia and Esther (also shoutout Jess), we looked so good on stage because of the hard work you put into our outfits. It was so fun getting to pick your brains and collaborating to style the team.
To my fellow choreographers, a huge shoutout and thanks to you guys. Collaborating with you all has been so inspiring and in the times when I was overwhelmed with life, you guys stepped up to the challenge and in the end we created something that we are proud of. I cannot express enough how much going through this creative process with you all meant to me.
