𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚔 takes center stage
The desire to celebrate this part of myself, sometimes pride, sometimes weight.
Between my adoptive home, where this colour alone is enough to make you an outsider, and my homeland where your words, your rhythm, your accent gently whisper that you don’t belong there either.
And somewhere in between, there’s this strange feeling harder to name as if you are constantly required to justify a place that should simply hold you without conditions, except being part of the great theater of humanity.
Cape Town became a pause, a breath. A quiet return to the continent, in a place where history keeps reminding us that colours never meant to be separate stories.
But almost forget to say that I’m blessed to be 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚔
