I remember rocking these custom Nike’s during the 2008 postseason. I attended all 4 rounds, including the game that Kobe received his one and only regular season MVP award. My seat was 15 rows up from the floor.

I attended the first round with some friends and the next 3 rounds by myself. Those games I went to alone, I felt like I was surrounded by 20,000 friends—high-fiving and hugging each other when they’d take a lead or win the game.

I felt like a lucky charm too because they won each game I was at. That place erupted during each score and each win. I’ll never forget it. 😭
The fact that his daughter was with him too is what makes this even more heartbreaking 💔. He was grooming her to be the next Mamba.
