We’re thrilled to be bringing English folk musician @_julesmith to @sebrightarms on Wednesday 18th February. His band (@will_smith691 on upright bass & @noahfence________ on drums) absolutely blew me away last time they played — the music is a subtle combination of psych, jazz & traditional folk. Jules’ attention to detail and polished technique makes the whole affair very respectable.Joining them is the lovely @charlieforrestmusic whose calm approach to contemporary folk has woo’d Scream/Shout audiences plenty of times before, and indie folk newcomer @man._.cassidy who we’re very excited to see live.Tickets are free entry but make sure to RSVP in advance for this one. Make sure to get down for doors at 19.30 to catch all the acts, it’s well worth it.

Really honoured to be playing a few tunes on John Renbourn’s Martin OMM this evening at the @theatreship courtesy of @broadsidehacks.Some of my early folk guitar memories are listening to Sir John Alot Of Merrie Englandes Musyk Thyng & Ye Grene Knyghte. Bit of a mouthful I know, but I was blown away by the playing and blending of all these genres, truly one of the greatest. This led me down a path of using all me fingers and opened up a new world of playing for me, so I’m very excited to say the least.Then @theolddispensary beckons. I’ll be playing solo on the 11th, a weekday, take a load off.
