This is an artists book I made that contains excerpts from an essay of mine called “Plum Eaters” that is about stone fruits, hatred and its pits, and trans kids and their splendor. I took my drill press through the midsection to make a hole and then I ate a peach and spit out the pit. I buried the pit in the book and then I cooked down some plums and saved the sticky reduction. I buried my letter stamps in the sticky reduction and laid them to rest on the back page. And then I did some other things to make her stand up straight BUT that’s not as interesting to share…<3

I made this piece for my angel friend @katiequeenoftn last month. I took excerpts from her poem Roadkill and what I could find in my basement to create it. Consider it an ode to her wonderful thesis and also in its own right an artistic collaboration. Now it sits pretty in her lovely studio in Tallahassee. <3

Burlap scrap print, ink jet prose and a little stamp!
I took a burlap scarp and pressure printed on a letterpress during a class demo. Out of curiosity, I went home and ink jetted my prose on top. Tadaaaaa.

Artist Trade <3333 I had the pleasure to stamp out some of my sweetums @e_for_ernie words on some handmade paper in early December. They made me a beautiful ceramic piece too (last slide).
I really like how this came together. I think I will do it on a larger scale with some of my own writing soon. Imagine a whole wall, a whole room, a dimly lit hallway that never ends and that you walk forever and ever and ever…. <3
