The SL65 Black Series has managed to elude me for nearly 17 years. But today I finally got to drive it. While it isn’t what I expected, I still really enjoyed driving it. This is one of those AMG’s that is most comfortable burning the tires off and having fun. Mercedes did all they could to make this powertrain work in this car and it still is just so rowdy. As always, I’m very grateful to spend time in such a rare car. My 12 year old self wouldn’t believe that I’d be driving one of these!

What a machine. It’s not too often that you see a multi-million dollar price tag and think to yourself “yeah this is worth it”. The Chiron Pur Sport shattered my expectations. You can feel the quality of the engineering and materials when you drive it. 1500 horsepower is an absurd number, but when the cars one job from the factory is to put that power down, it’s insanely impressive how that actually feels. Sure the key is the same as a Passat, but this car puts more smiles on faces, and breaks more necks than anything else I’ve ever been in. I likely will never have the opportunity to drive one of these ever again, so I’m incredible grateful that I had the chance to take this one for a quick spin. This was an occasion where you should meet your hero’s.
