In 2023 we studied in the occupied West Bank, Palestine, where we met Omar’s family. This film follows Omars younger brother, sister, and mother after he was killed by the Israeli military. Each of them deals with the loss of Omar in a different way.

Hey everyone,
I've always been drawing, though never very much. But in the last two years a sketchbook and a small set of watercolours became constant companions - especially when travelling. So sketchbooks are slowly piling up in my room and I would like to start sharing whats inside them.
With an everlasting curiousity to learn this craft and the lust to dive into colours and lines, I often picked up a sketchbook while my friends took breaks, a nap or had a coffee :)
Simply not thinking, for the duration of a drawing, is very relaxing. In particular since filmmaking got more intense. Drawing gives me calm and quiet minutes in which my head is not spinning... Kind of the introvert counterpart to making films.
Beside that aspect, it's just another way of sharing my interest in the world. It teaches you to become a close observer. A observer of colour palettes and patterns, shapes and textures. There is so much to discover!
