Set Designer and Construction Department Head on Gus Van Sant’s “Dead Man’s Wire” in theatre’s nationwide today. Words cannot begin to express the love I have for Louisville’s Art Department. What was accomplished on this film is a testament to the skills of all involved. Despite major snow storms and a wild time crunch we made it happen and had some fun along the way. The movie may have been shot in 20 days but it was built in 16. Shout out to the construction team for crushing it! @deadmanswirefilm @rowkpresents @502.film @adg800

In October I had the pleasure of Production Designing @jimgaffigan “The Bourbon Set.” A three night live event that took place at @kyperformingarts Bomhard theatre. This past Saturday 11/15 at 4:54 the universe gave us the most incredible gift. Welcome to the world our beautiful boy; Dezi Banks Travisano. I didn’t know the true meaning of the word blessed until I met you. We are so in love.

It’s been a dream of mine since the beginning of @louderthanlifefest many years ago to create sculptural work for the festival. When you surround yourself with the right people anything is possible. At @headcase_studios_llc we had the privilege of fabricating a 10’ skull for the fountain in VIP. I am so proud of this team for what we created. Just wrapped a wild one with @fitforakingtx on their latest music video “Witness the End,” directed by the one and only @maxmoorefilms — marking Max and I’s tenth project together. From the Oval Office to a graveyard, to all kinds of special fx rigs, we’ve built some crazy worlds over the years, and this one is no different. There were lots of elements to this video but the highlight from our end was the sculpted 14-foot tree — jagged, gnarled, and dripping with apocalyptic mood — brought to life in collaboration with @headcasestudios and art direction by the talented @_john_travisano_ . John and I handled the sculpt, and had the pleasure of having the great @lizwolf44 transform the beast into reality with her stunning scenic paint work. Massive thanks to @dandy_sandy_28 for leading the install and making sure the beast got placed and dressed on location. A hell of a team, a hell of a vision, a hell of an execution. Grateful to still be building these worlds after all these years. And a huge shout out to @fitforakingtx and @chrismotionless for letting us come play in your world and create art with you.
