Celebrating this milestone in The Land of Enchantment with some of the most incredible people I’m lucky enough to call my friends will be a life memory that I will cherish to the end. If this is how my next decade of life started, I can’t wait to see whats to come.
Today we said goodbye to our Gramps. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, I’m so grateful that he’s at peace…and I’m sure wrapping his big arms around my Gram 🤍
Goodbye to the man who taught us kids how to pan for gold in the river. Who taught us about rocks and plants and the nature around us. Who was never caught without something to read and his pipe in hand. Who woke up at 4am every morning to make coffee and oatmeal for himself and my grandma. The truest mountain man I have ever known with the kindest, most gentle soul - except when he was driving in traffic 😉. He met my grandma when she was a single mom of four and fell in love with no hesitation, loving her fiercely until the day she left us, and beyond. Thank you, gramps, for everything. We love you to the moon. Yippee 🤍
It’s amazing how winter time makes you forget what Summer feels like. When a light sweater feels too heavy and hot. The way a warm breeze is a reprieve on hot skin. Balmy sunsets late at night. All of that seems unfathomable when the air hurts your cheeks and winter winds cut through the heaviest jackets. Though it’s technically Spring, these few days of 80+ degree weather have me excited for warm nights and fireflies. A few snaps from last Summer to stoke the Summer excitement 🌊 🌞 🌿
