“Every family needs a fun cousin!”
During the beginning of February, I was asked to be apart of a weekend long overnight shoot named, “MALLORY”. I’d never met any of the cast or crew previously and was nervous as all h*ll going into the self-tape. Having recently moved from the East Coast, I felt unsure of my position in this industry and my skill in film acting. Despite that, I decided to send in an audition to see what came of it.
Having wrapped filming, I am eternally grateful that I was picked for this opportunity. This project reminded me of the importance of building community within the arts. Everyone on set was willing to go the extra mile to make something we all could be proud of and by working together I believe we succeeded. Through technical and nature related difficulties, the team found ways around obstacles in an efficient manner that left me impressed. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone involved and can only hope you are all as proud of yourselves as I am to have met you!
