Watch Whatever Whenever, 2025, Four colour silkscreen print on canvas, 120x60cm, framed in charred oak and aluminium
This piece i had spent some time with, studying images of ‘the act of destruction’ and revelling in the work of Andy Warhol’s work dealing with death & destruction. The close up of the TV and the sledge hammer, together with iconic Converse shoes, paints both a picture of ‘fuck it all’ and ‘fuck the past, head on into modernity & digitalism’. The symbolic act of smashing a television, to me, smells like disregard for nostalgia and what at our core, is still physical and present. Snd what is still present, we should continue to touch before it’s in the cloud. #silkscreenprint #contemporaryart #warhol #fuckit
Static Study 02 - Moon Landing, 2025, hand painted bitmap - synthetic polymer on canvas
Following along from this mechanical painting method, the attempted ‘digital appropriation’ of digital imaging. Selecting certain historical iconic images widely viewed on the dimension of a ‘tv screen’. This sadly is no longer a universal experience, as we consume all media from the tips of our fingers at all times, forever glued, forever looking. 👀

The last few months/ years i have been drawn to both a disgust with digitalism & AI, and a healthy inspiration from analogue interface. The nostalgic tendencies and simplicities that analogue devices offer give a means to a confidence that AI cannot. The absence of ambiguity.
I’ve been playing with the idea of how AI replicates the human artist’s hand at will through digital means. But a human artist’s hand attempting to replicate a digital image purely through a mechanical painting means? This proved much harder. But through the processes of ‘digital appropriation’ i have noticed a fundamental difference: the overarching presence of something organic in the finished product.
