Celebrating the things that make him him 💙 Special interests aren’t “just hobbies” — they bring joy, comfort, regulation, creativity, and connection. From Jellycats and scooters to Ninjago, Warrior Cats, and Warhammer, these passions are part of his world and deserve celebrating. Research shows that autistic flow (deep immersion in preferred activities) is essential for autistic well-being and regulation (Wain et al., 2026). What special interest brings joy to your child? Share it below 👇💙 #AutismAcceptance #SpecialInterests #Neurodiversity #ActuallyAutistic #autisticjoy

If transitions are hard, calming can be hard too. For many neurodivergent children, big reactions aren’t “too much” — they’re a nervous system asking for support. Try: • Deep pressure to help the body feel safe • Simple breathing to slow things down • A calm space to reset without overwhelm Regulation comes before reasoning 💙 #Neurodivergent #Autism #ADHD #CoRegulation #EmotionalRegulation #ParentingSupport

@_jam_up and Active Devon are working together to explore how we can make Tavistock Meadows junior parkrun even more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive. A key part of this is listening to families of children with additional needs, including SEN and neurodiversity. By learning from real experiences, we want to explore ways to reduce barriers, build confidence, and make Junior Parkrun accessible for more families. 📅 Rachael and Paul will be at Junior Parkrun on 10th May. We’re especially keen to speak with families of children with SEN or additional needs (no diagnosis needed). If you can’t make it but would still like to share your experiences, please get in touch: [email protected] #parkrun #community #inclusion #activeforall

Can you relate? 💛 The judgement. The comments. The looks in public. But what people don’t see… is the overwhelm. They’re not giving you a hard time — they’re having a hard time. ✨ Comment “yes” if this resonates ✨ Save this for the hard days ✨ Send to someone who needs to understand #Neurodiversity #Meltdowns #ParentingReality #SENDSupport #JamUp

We’re incredibly proud that Jam Up! has been recognised by UK Healthcare and Life Sciences Innovation as part of the 2026 Parliamentary Pathfinder NHS Innovation Adoption Awards 🎉 The event took place inside Parliament, an inspiring setting for conversations about the future of healthcare innovation and how digital tools can better support children and families. We’re looking forward to the upcoming showcase, where we’ll be sharing how Jam Up! has been co-created with families. #JamUp #NHSInnovation #DigitalHealth #Innovation #Healthcare #Parliament #Curia @curiahealth

Recognising the early signs of sensory overload can make all the difference. 💙 Before a meltdown happens, there are often subtle signals that someone is becoming overwhelmed. Look out for: • Irritability, anger, or tears • Difficulty focusing • Changes in speech (faster, slower, or struggling to express words) • Covering ears, eyes, or face • A strong urge to withdraw or escape These aren’t “behaviours” to correct, they’re signs that support is needed. By noticing these early, we can step in with calm, understanding, and the right tools before things escalate. Awareness leads to support. Support leads to calmer moments. #Neurodiversity #SensoryProcessing #AutismSupport #EmotionalRegulation #ParentingSupport #MentalHealthAwareness
