daily practices, in no particular order when someone asks me how to create a home practice Or a better relationship to their self movement practice I say this same thing.. “find 5-10 go to shapes or movements that you start with; mobility focused, feel good movements” mobility focused shapes and movements that you can ideally drop into at any time (this isn’t about it depth or flexibility) making them easy to layer into your day whenever you’ve got time — consistency is such a big element to creating a deeper relationship to your personal home practice so anything that makes it easier (and less mental load) to show up, the better! having this little movement stack of familiar patterns means way less thinking about what to do on the mat. you start with your basics and you’ll be surprised how naturally other movements can start to flow intuitively. what’s in your daily movement round up?

how i get present real quick I get upside down no but seriously.. handstand, pincha, headstand you cant possibly be thinking of anything else but what you need to do physically 😂 headstand is my fav for this kind of moving meditation if you will — I can use my least amount of effort, tune in, focus and breathe.

this practice felt so light — that feeling definitely ebbs and flows, peacock rarely feels light with these long legs🤪 (the straddle entry helps a ton) It’s been a rainy couple of days here on the island which is lovely tbh because we’re in hot season and it’s HOT (not a complaint just a fact 🤪🥵) and the rain definitely cools things down a bit!

your holistic chill pill if you will 😏 basic shaking — helps to regulate the nervous system, releasing: tension, stress, pent up energy and it truly feels so damm good to just let go and shake it out seated breath work — for me box breathe is the goat, what’s your go too?? something with a lil compression (standing, seated, plow, child’s pose) — this one may not be for everyone but for me the compression feels like a hug and also a really physical way to feel the breathe as my belly expands against my body. What is your favourite tool to chill tf out? 🤪
