1. Add vanilla ice cream to a tall glass.
2. Slowly pour the ginger ale over the ice cream (it will foam up).
3. Stir gently if you want a more blended texture, or leave as-is for a float-style.
4. Top with whipped cream and a cherry if desired.
5. Serve with a straw and a long spoon. Enjoy!
