Meet the founders of the Sweet Life Retreat: Charlie 🧔 ā€œWhen I look back to who I was before integrating yoga into my life, I just want to invite her to The Sweet Life Retreat. I came to the practice of yoga in 2018 when I had just moved to Australia and felt entirely lost, ungrounded, unsure and riddled with anxiety.Ā  If you know me now, you might think this is hard to believe.Ā  But when I stumbled into a studio in Melbourne … little did I know that everything was about to change.Ā  Yoga not only brought me movement but also a permission to be still, it gave me community, connected me to nature, and helped me find a deeply embodied way of being. Two emotions it’s engrained in me, that I come back to again and again are:Ā Curiosity and Courage ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Curiosity has led me to completing over 600 hrs of training in a wide mix of modalities over the last 7 years - from vinyasa, yin, elemental and chakra flows, rocket, mat pilates, sound baths, meditation, breathwork and trauma informed teaching. I now feel this thirst to absorb life in all its many forms, and to step into my fears to unlock new sides of myself.Ā  Courage has been something that has slowly grown over time - from somewhere deep within but also with the support of those around me. It has become this catalyst to a life I am totally in love with. I believe so deeply that our curiosities should be given space to be nurtured, explored and encouraged.Ā  With a background in health coaching, teaching classes, events and workshops in studiosĀ across London and Sri Lanka, teaching at festivals, hosting retreats all over the world and now mentoring yoga teachers and wellness entrepreneurs too - This lust for life and self belief is something I have am so passionate about fostering in others.Ā  Because - Everything you need is already within you.Ā  The Sweet Life retreat simply provides an opportunity to carve out a sacred space and time - Whereby you can tend to that which needs tending to - both as an individual and in community.Ā  I hope you decide to join us on retreat - so that you can experience just how Sweet Life can be šŸ’«ā€ #thesweetliferetreat #yogaretreat #wellness #yogateacher #wellnessretreat

šŸŽšŸ’« I’ll let them speak for themselves. It’s a run don’t walk kind of situation. I started creating these essential oils as a fun thing to do one afternoon. Not really thinking anything of it. I started using them at the end of my yoga classes and something clicked with people … and I was being asked CONSTANTLY where they were from … Just little old me, hand pouring in my living room 😌 So I started sharing them at my workshops, and on retreats, and from there it’s just spread like wildfire! The blend is so potent for so many reasons. This oil is a combination of sacred woods that are used across many spiritual traditions to cleanse and rebalance. Brought to life with the undertone of lavender honestly feels like nectar to the nervous system. Its ingredients are all organic, hypoallergenic, and high in antioxidants. Their other qualities have been said to included… - Promoting emotional balance and mental clarity - Help alleviate headaches and joint pain. - Help to reduce stress and enhances mood - Support cognitive function and sleep quality. - Can help to reduce anxiety, improve focus, promote relaxation - Benefits for skin health. - Calms the nervous system, helping to lower blood pressure - Alleviate stress-related digestive issues. - The base oil is light and non-greasy, rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, making it gentle for all skin types while helping to regulate oil production. Inside each vial, you’ll also find three Clear Quartz Crystals that amplify energy and intentions, promote mental clarity, and aid in emotional healing. Need I say more? I make them at home by myself in small batches so stock is limited If you’re a yoga teacher, someone who wants to enhance their wellbeing practices or who wants to gift this to a loved one to help them do so … Drop me a message šŸ’Œ The perfect handmade, personal and caring gift this Christmas! šŸŽ #supportsmallthischristmas #wellbeinggift #essentialoil #wellnesschristmas #wellnessgiftideas #yogateacher #yogaretreatgiftbag #yogaretreats

I’m going on a journey of returning to my personal practice and if you are feeling this distance too I hope this post helps 🧔 Now when I say iv lost my personal practice… I don’t mean attending yoga classes. I still do that from time to time. But it’s not the same. I mean my own, personal, unguided, devotional practice. A dedicated time to meet myself. To feel. To go inward. To use the body as a vessel to reconnect and surrender to the moment, to what is, and to something bigger. And I know I’m not the only one who loses connection. It happens. Life gets busy. But recently I have noticed this deep longing for it to return. Finding time to self practice can be haaaard when - I’m teaching a lot, at different times in my cycle, when I’m tired, when lots of ā€˜life things’ need my attention too. But there will always be reasons not to practice. The other day I decided to make time to just get on my mat and see what happens… And I was reminded of something so important. ā€˜I can get so wrapped up in teaching, that i forget how important it is to make time to listen’ I remembered the beauty and potency of the quiet moments, where the invitation isn’t to do … but to listen. In this practice I was reminded that having your own self practice doesn’t have to look a certain way or be a certain amount of time. I have never been a consistent routine kinda girl so I find so much resistance in this - but I want to make this act of showing up a priority again. So this is my declaration, to myself, to prioritise my own practice. But here are the 3 different ways I will approach my personal practice - that hopefully will help you too take the pressure off and keep it an act of love: 1. Allow it to be super somatic. No structure. Put on some music, move intuitively, breathe, no pressure or expectation on duration 2. Make it super structured - Sur Namaskar A + B x3 3. Not even having ā€˜Asana’ as a part. It’s about the time being carved out to be present, rather than the thing it’s self. Meditation. Breath. Self massage. (Try my TLC practice on my YouTube) Let’s make it about the act, rather than the details 🧔 #yogateacher #yogainspiration #honestyoga

✨The ā€˜Highest Vibration Essential oil’ ✨ From my heart to yours 🧔 Hand made. Organic. Small batch. Pure natural ingredients. Clear quartz crystal infused šŸ”® These oils have quietly grown in to a self care ritual staple for many. Weather it is guests on my retreats, yogis in class, or other teachers - the love that has been felt for them has been such a beautiful thing to witness. Not just an oil. But an offering of love and tenderness. Weather that’s me to you, you to yourself, or you to another. The ingredients of this essential oil have each been chosen for their deeply grounding and healing properties. Clary sage, Palo Santo. Lavender. Sandalwood. With a hypoallergenic grapeseed base. The ratios of each perfectly spread to both engage and settle the sense in the most soothing manor. Each with a sprinkle of Clear Quartz crystal for more potency. A scent and sensation which gently holds you long after application 🧔 I make these by myself, one by one, by hand, in my home. The process feels like a beautiful ritual of intention, care and service. Each time I make a batch I am blown away by the desire for them and the lovely feedback. If you would like to add one to your self care ritual. To share with a friend I also do customs bulk orders for Retreat Gift bags and Wellness events Comment OIL ✨ below For how to get yours 🄰 For those of you that have had them before, or will in the future - Thank you ✨ Wishing you a little more love and tenderness Lots of love Charlie šŸŒž #essentialoil #giftbag #retreatgiftbag #wellnessevent #selfcareessentials

Hot take on sharing on social media in a way that feels empowering ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Don’t šŸ˜‚ I’m kidding … sort of haha. But I believe presence is ACTUAL LIFE is something that should be celebrated more✨ That ā€˜I havnt posted on social media in a while’ stress is such a bizarre thing to have crept into modern day society. There is SO much content out there now … with constant talk of ā€˜social media ā€˜plans’ and ā€˜schedules’, of ā€˜optimising’ and ā€˜hacking the algorithm’ And yes this may we the best way to share for growth BUT to be honest … it just doesn’t feel true to this page. Or true to ME at all. Never has. And so I don’t do it šŸ’ƒšŸ¼and if you do - good on ya. But if it doesn’t feel true to you either - that’s okay!! I think, depending on the way your brain thrives best this place can feel like šŸŽØ ART or 🧬 SCIENCE And perhaps that’s kind of beautiful whichever way you choose to look at it. I want to share things that feels true, intuitive, but rooted in where I am in this moment. I want to share when I’m inspired and the energy of what I’m about to share feels like it’s spilling out of me. I don’t want to just add to the noise, or churn things out like a machine. So - It’s unlikely you’ll see ā€˜perfect wellness daily routines’ here because that’s not me … at all šŸ˜‚ I’m not the most consistent person in my habits, but I love that. I love the variety - OF LIFE! That’s what makes it feel expansive for me. Personally - I want this page to be one of self expression. To share little parts of my heart in the hope that it will help others to feel like they can love themselves, others, and the world around them a little more 🧔 And of course, to invite you to spaces where you have the opportunity to let your curiosity come forth, to build courage, to fall in love with your life and share more good in the world ✨ So if you’re here - know I am very grateful for you 🧔 let’s walk this crazy journey of life together šŸ‘Æā€ā™€ļø Before you go - I’m so curious to know … What team are you on … šŸŽØArt … or 🧬Science? Comment below! ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ #socialmediastrategy #wellnesscommunity #yogaretreats #balancedlife

The purpose of it all. 🄹🧔 Some important questions šŸ‘‡ How does your energy impact those around you? How do you take up space and share yourself with the world? What is the ripple effect of your words, actions and energy? It doesn’t have to be ground breaking. Sometimes it is the quietest of moments that have the biggest impact. The small but mighty decisions to change or begin something. A check in text. The silence shared or a hug with no words. To me … These moments are everything that matters. Creating connections. Tryijg to be courageous myself to Inspire others to be courageous too, to trust in themselves, their abilities. To remind people that they are so strong … but it’s also that it’s okay to be soft - Beautiful even. To be a cheerleader to hear the members and shift them to excitement, to not fear scary things but to lean into them. To BE a space that others feel safe, and loved, in all their many forms. It’s never perfect, I’m never perfect, far from, but that’s part of what makes us human. That being said - this is my intention in life. To lead with my hearts, with intention, with compassion and kindness as often as possible, and especially when it’s difficult. Because iv seen it happen time and time again. Teaching all over the world, and hosting retreats. You can see the beauty of humanity come forth - people letting their walls melt away. Their hurts open, and in that opening curiosity creeps out. It turns into courage, and softness and power. In these little glimpses I think we see and feel the energy of the soul. So perhaps we can walk this messy road together. Side by side. On our own paths, but never on our journey entirely alone. And that is my invitation. Not just to do, but to take a moment to pause too. To sit in the moments that lay before us as simply take in the view. I feel all of this most when in retreat spaces. And that is why @thesweetliferetreat was created. Come and share in these magical moments with us ✨ šŸŒžšŸ‡ŖšŸ‡øThe Sweet Life Retreat - Spanish Edition (week 2) 26th June - 1st July 2026 Comment SPAIN for more information 🧔 #yogaretreatspain #summerretreat #natureretreat

There are SO many moving parts when it comes to hosting a retreat. It is not just a holiday. It is a sacred space, and often a huge leap of faith for guests when they decide to come on these experiences. And so we have a responsibility. A duty of care to ensure that it is executed as an act of devotion šŸ¤ Now I know it can feel a little daunting and weighty, but I also know that it can be more impactful and beautiful than ever imagined. Hosting retreats has been the biggest honour and some of the happiest moments of my life. The depth, the meaning, the LIFE that exudes out of them is nothing short of magic. I have been to many, and hosted many more, and know first hand they can be the most beautiful catalysts - to shifted mindsets, unprecedented expansion, and the most grounding home comings. Here are a few of things I have learned along the way that I wish I knew before hosting my first: 1. Get clear on your WHY. What are your motivations? What do you want to create? What do you want people to FEEL? How are you going to help them feel it? 2. Make sure it is thought through. Do your research. Try not to cookie cutter - Find a new venue rather than ones you’ve seen others use, or create a theme which truly resonates with you and feels true to who you are and what and how you share. 3. Coordination and orchestration matter. This is the HOLDING of the space. Things like a clear booking process, responsive emailing, what’s app groups and intake forms allow you to better know your guests, and for them to feel held even before they arrive. 4. Making sure it is actually viable. I hear of so many people organising retreats making little to no profit. This absolutely should not happen and doesn’t have to. Financial projections. Expense forecasting, pricing in line with your desired profit margin, realistic break even points - are ESSENTIAL to a successful retreat. Do not under sell yourself. You could be putting in a years worth of work to plan and execute a retreat. If create from a place of abundance you’ll create an environment of abundance rather than scarcity.
