Mundanity is the essence of life, and I have always loved the writers and artists who celebrate this. It is a subject which had always inspired my own work, and it was such a genuine joy to explore this as a Long Read in the gorgeously fat October issue of Wallpaper*. When did artists begin to observe the unremarkable? What duality is there in the private and public self? And what happens when women become part of the interior? It was a huge pleasure to speak to some of my favourite artists for this piece.
